It should work with other brands of TV as long as they support sending command and control over HDMI (HDMI-CEC) and you connect the soundbar with HDMI instead of optical.

A:AnswerMy TV remote controls the volume. If I want to fine tune the treble and bass it is quicker to use the soundbar remote but you can flip through the TV's settings and eventuall grt to the sound bar adjustments.
