“I just got my new wall charger and used it today. After charging and removing the plug from the port I simply hung the cord on the charger, does the wall charger always pulse green or do I need to turn it off somehow? I know this sounds stupid!!”

you are fine. Green just means its receiving power and waiting to be used.
