• A:Answer A single Wall Connector can only charge one car at a time. Tesla does have a “load sharing” feature that allows multiple Wall Connectors to split the available power on a circuit between them and charge two cars at once but you would have to buy a second Wall Connector.

• A:Answer You will need to use an adaptor for this if you want to use it on a non tesla. You would need a Tesla to J1772 adaptor. Tesla now makes a charger that works on non Tesla cars. It is the Tesla J1772 and as of January 8th the cost is $525 and it black. If you want this to work on a Tesla then you would need to purchase a J1772 to TESLA adaptor.

• A:Answer Varies greatly as it depends on the following and other items: location of your home main electrical panel to your desired Tesla charger. This will probably require a subpanel, suitable breakers, disconnect, conduit, fittings, supports, 3 conductor wiring with ground (4 cables), wall penetrations, labor, equipment, electrical permits, and other items. The cost could vary anywhere from less than a thousand to a much larger amount. I was able to have my Tesla wall charger installed 4 years ago for less than 500 as it was connected to a spare 250vac 30 amp circuit in my garage. With this set up I was able to charge my Tesla up to 24 amps (80% of 30 amps) which provided about 16 miles per hour. The wall charger has internal pin switches which are set to match the supply voltage and amperage. Finally, get several bids from reliable and bonded electricians as this work has to be done correctly!

• A:Answer yes, if it is THHN wire can handle more heat plus the charger will only pull 48amp 80% of breaker size. If you put in 50-amp breaker it will pull 40 amps not much difference on a full charge it will save about an hour charging time but what's the difference, it is still an overnight charger basically
