• A:Answer To prevent scalpers from buying out entire inventory/stock they require it to be an in-store pick up and have limited it to one per customer per order to give everyone a fair shot at getting one. You can thank scalpers for this ignorant policy.

Q: QuestionDon't you think there should be some kind of reservation process for people that a purchase limited edition console releases for Tears of the Kingdom? I bought the limited edition switch, but I can't get the collector's edition. Reward loyal customers!

• A:Answer You can order both but they have to be in separate transactions. Unfortunately, logging in and going into a virtual queue and only allowing one big-ticket item per customer per order is due to scalpers during the height of the COVID pandemic (PS5/Xbox consoles are the example I’ll use). During that time frame scalpers were buying out entire inventory at stores using bots and caused honest, hard working people to miss out or pay exorbitant amounts of money for the consoles. Because of this Best Buy now requires the login, virtual queue and limit on items per customer/purchase.

• A:Answer If this is happening then more than likely there are none available in your area (even if it says there is) because their inventory system doesn’t refresh in real-time, it’s on a 24-72 hour delay.

• A:Answer A bit late to reply to this question but the issue I had was they didn’t allow anyone to order/pre-order until after midnight on the day of the release. Once 12:01am hit the pricier popped up as available to purchase and then I had to sit in a virtual queue for an hour to purchase.
