Are the external sides stainless null

The sides of our T36FT820NS do not match the stainless steel on the doors. The sides look whitish and cheap. Because the doors require extra clearance on the sides to open (not zero clearance), the fridge must be pulled out several inches from counter depth to avoid hitting the cabinets next to it.
