No the Mini is not wifi. If you don't have a ethernet connection, you can use something called MoCa connection which works over your coaxial cable that's what I use and it works just fine. The TiVo Roamio Plus and Pro are able create the network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need a hard wire connection, wireless not reliable for streaming video, or you can use MoCa connection, which your Internet service travels through the cable line with a MoCa adapter or a MoCa router
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need an ethernet cable. You can utilize the powerline adapter shown below to transmit over the electrical wiring in your home, there is also a moca connector so you can use the existing CableTV wiring in your home.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No wireless for the Mini. But it can use either a wired Ethernet connection or can be setup to use existing coax for communication. I strongly suspect this is done to keep the video quality high.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It requires a ethernet cable or Coax cable. The Coax either needs to be a certain type of line (VErizon Fios works), or an adapter is needed. I have a Fios modem and it allows for easy hookup to my cable line going to the bedroom (for the tivo mini)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it has to be either Ethernet cable or the MOCA network I think that is what it was called.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does not work over WiFi, but you could buy another Roamio plus and that works over WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ethernet or MoCA (if you have a cable connection at both locations) No WiFi version yet that I know of.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No wireless for the Mini, Ethernet or MoCA (the mini has a built in MoCA adapter). I use MoCA and it work great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, wireless isn't fast or reliable enough. It needs either an ethernet (LAN) or if you have a cable outlet nearby you can use MoCA (multimedia over coaxial cable). Follow directions on Tivo menu to set it up and it uses the coaxial cables as your network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
