Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to have a newer series main Tivo box (DVR) in order for Tivo mini to work. If you have that then you can watch whatever is recorded on your main Tivo box on your Tivo mini - Netflix and amazon prime are in the list of your shows. I'm not sure about HBO - we have a smart TV that has the app for that. We have one main Tivo box and 8 Tivo minis- one in each room & 1 in our basement & we love them!

Both machines are capable of playing different channels from one another if in use at the same time. I receive my TV programming through a cable service.
