“Can I use phone line dialup. this for my 91 year old mother and she has no internet”

• I would suggest you call TIVO customer support. They are extremely helpful. The unit requires a connection to a router to connect to internet. For this reason, I'm not sure dial-up will work. Without an internet connection, you cannot get programing for recording ability. Best wishes.

• Dial up speed is slow, probably to slow for movies. The Tivo unit cannot be programmed to daily, so she would have to make the connection before recording.

• Unfortunately I cannot answer your question. I moved into a new housing development and there is no fiber optic cable available for my DSL. I will not be able to install and activate my Tivo for another 2 weeks.
