DSL is strong enough. Most routers have always on WiFi as I understand. I know the one I have from ATT does. Depending on your particular set up, you may find it advantageous to hard wire it to your router with an Ethernet cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are only using it for the OTA selections then DSL would work well. If you also do a lot of streaming Videos (NetFlix etc. ) you may have some buffering depending on your DSL speed. You do not have to have the WiFi connected all the time but you need it for a lot of the functions on the TiVo (searches, program, guides etc).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once you have connected to the internet and set it up. all you have to do is connect it once a month. Ethernet (dsl) or wifi are fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used this with a 7 gig DSL connection and it worked fine - I have a 20 gig connection now and it works the same as it did with the lower connection. No issues whatsoever. The wifi is always enabled - I think that it is only actively connected when doing things like updating the program guide. It certainly hasn't been a strain on the in-house network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.dsl would be good enough. I use a wireless internet provider that averages 1 to 3 Mbps and it works fine. The Roku connects via wifi so to watch it, wifi has to be on. No connection means no watching the Roku.
