Ldfbze's answer is nonsense. This "OTA" (over the air) unit in fact ONLY works with over the air broadcasts, not cable. (Most other Tivos work with over the air or cable, some only work with cable.) As others mentioned, you hook up your antenna to the Tivo, and then the Tivo to the TV through HDMI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You still need your antenna. The flow will be antenna-Tivo-TV. I am not sure how the hook up will be with a smart TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roamio OTA is a DVR for over the air use. Yes, it records programs but only by using it. There is no way to connect any other devices. It does come with the usual smart apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu+. So no PBS. However, if you get a good signal you can record programs for later viewing. You do have to pay a subscription of $15 per TiVo Roamio you have. You are paying for their service which gives updates from time to time.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The TiVo is a DVR - a recording device. You have to hook an OTA antenna into it for it to get a signal for your local stations. So, you can use this device to record your shows from the local PBS channel and watch when it is convenient for you to do so. You will still need your antenna. To use it on both, just get yourself a coax splitter - screw it into your antenna's cable and then you'll have two coax hook-ups that you can run to two different tvs. I did so in my house and the signal is fine for both tvs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.TIVo is a recording device for cable. If you want to record live TV look into Tablo. https://www.tablotv.com/roku-preview/. Hope this helps.
