• This is totally strapless. The monitor is underneath the face of the watch. The device shines a light through your skin to measure your HR.

• No strap, it uses a pulse light and is quite accurate. I specifically chose this model for that reason.

• This model you with have to buy the separate strap on HR monitor. They do however sell a model with a built in HR monitor.
