- Answer Hello Rekab151, regrettably, none of our devices will show notifications for Mile Markers, and cannot search for them for use as a Destination when planning a route.

- Answer Yes, it's called lifetime for this reason. It will continue to update. Remember,to update maps you need to attach it to your PC or laptop, whatever has a browser. This is because you will be taken to create your account t. Your 1st time using this, that's when you create your account. However you still need to attach this for updates

QuestionDoes the GPS provide all possible routes to get to your destination or does it just show the fastest route with no options ?

- Answer The VIA 1415M would provided the fastest route according to distance. In order to have the fastest route based on distance and traffic we would recommend a model with a traffic cable, such as the VIA 1415TM

QuestionCan I just open the box and use it right away or do I have to do stuff first like charge it up, get the maps downloaded, etc. I really need to be able to have one I can use right away

- Answer As long as you can plug it in to your cigarette lighter or power source you should be fine my model had a low battery so a charge was necessary

- Answer Yes a soft reset can be done by holding down the power button for 20 seconds. If you wish to do a factory reset it will need to be selected through the settings on the unit.

- Answer Yes it will inform you if you are going over the speed limit and the VIA 1415M does come with safety camera alerts but it is not available for all states.

- Answer The VIA 1415M will show a split screen when there is a fork in the road or merger and this feature cannot be removed.

- Answer Once the device is linked to an account created www.TomTom.com, the Lifetime Maps will automatically be added to your account and the latest map will be ready for download.

QuestionCan this easily be used in England and Europe? We downloaded maps for our old GPS (and paid quite a bit to do so) and they did not work when we got there. Do these maps have to be downloaded? if so, how much would it cost?
