- Answer Hello Machi, Thanks for the question. The Battery life on the VIA 1415M is approximately 3hrs. The battery icon will appear in the bottom left corner only when the device is disconnected from power. Thanks

- Answer This is a plug in device. Once unplugged, it shuts off. Your cell phone may be of better use for walking.

QuestionDoes the unit provide an audible sound alert?Is there a sound-based alert when I am going over the speed limit to warn me to slow down? I don't mean just a change in color but an actual sound. Also does this occur at a certain percentage over the limit, not just one or two miles an hour? It appears that no Garmin units do this. Descriptions of the TomTom units seem to be vague on this point. It seems pretty basic. I just want to avoid a ticket. Thanks.

QuestionDoes it enable multi destination programming and optimization?I am an insurance agent. I buy leads that have customer names, addresses and phone #'s. I need to be able to input numerous addresses and for the gps to optimize the route as far as proximity to each address. All in all, the unit must be able to create a route from the addresses given in order of proximity to each other.
