A:Answer From my knowledge, you would need to buy a soundbar with a couple speakers 'set'. The optical cable connection, yes, is for the audio signal. (audio only) HDMI transmits both pic and sound. Basically you would need to get the optical cord into one of your speakers and then 'connect' your others to that one. (bluetooth, wifi, hard wired) I know it's more expensive but..., a decent receiver, some book shelf speakers, center channel, and a sub - absolutely the way to go!!
