Questionjust bought this tv for a 87 yr old, does not need any internet based options, just tv, I know, overkill, but is there a way that when turning on the tv that will allow just the tv to come on and not the screen that asks which hdmi channel do you want?

While watching a video, using the included Voice Remote, press and hold the Home button for 3 seconds to display the Quick Access menu, select Info to see the resolution of the video that's playing. - Answer Use the TV button to bring up the guide, and then you can select up or down to see the channel list. Once you find the channel you want, press select to view it. The TV itself doesn't have a DVR, so you can purchase a separate one, like the FireTV Recast or get DVR access from your cable or satellite provider.
