If there analog outputs (rca, s-vhs) anywhere on your system, you should be able to take that analog signal and feed it into your vcr to record- here is the rub- your VCR is standard definition, and therefore will only record a 4:3 picture in up to 480i resolution. The actual recording resolution of most VCR's is actually way below SDTV's maximum resolution, but 480i is the theoretical limit/maximum resolution you will be able to achieve.
