This laptop has two memory slots. One is filled with a Kingston Technology 4GB 1600MHz DDR3L PC3-12800 1.35V Non-ECC CL11 SODIMM. I bought a second one on Amazon for $19 plus tax (http://amzn.com/B00CQ35GYE). Note that even with two RAM modules, this laptop will only operate in single-channel mode, which restricts GPU performance to half of what it could/should be. Installation is quick and easy. Just remove the 12 screws from the underside of the laptop, remove the battery, and gently pull off the plastic back. Note that you will need to reset the time in the BIOS after unplugging the battery.
