• The drive in mine is Toshiba MQ01ABD100. I found this information: TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100 1TB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5 9.5mm SATA 3.0Gb/s internal notebook hard drive

• Yes..not a problem..installed a Samsung 840 ssd 500GB purchased at Amazon for $162..very easy install

• This laptop should fit any 2.5'' hard drive. I just installed a 120GB Kingston 2.5'' SSD onto mine.
