Q: QuestionMy wife mentioned that the Tplink BE11000 3 pack mesh on Costxx is almost half the price and looks pretty much the same as this one. I usually prefer shopping at Bestbuy, but I'm not sure how to respond to her. Any advice?

• A:Answer Hi, I'm looking at these two items as well. The one sold by BB is the BE-65 Pro, and the other one is the BE65 (non-Pro). I've found the following information: Both systems include the following features: * Up to 11 Gbps Tri-Band WiFi * Wireless and wired combined backhaul * Multi-Link Operation (MLO) - Sends and receives data across different bands and channels to increase throughput, reduce latency, and improve reliability * 320 MHz channels * 6 GHz band (in addition to 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz) * TP-Link HomeShield (security, parental controls, etc.) These are the main difference that I've found between the non-Pro and the BE65 Pro: 1. The non-Pro model houses 4x 2.5 Gbps ports per device, while the BE65 Pro houses 2x 5 Gbps ports and 1x 2.5 Gbps port per device This is the biggest difference I can find. If you have (or expect to have) incoming Internet service of greater than 2.5 Gbps, then I would avoid the non-Pro system. 2. The reported max speeds break down as follows: BE65 Pro: 11 Gbps Tri-Band WiFi – 5764 Mbps (6 GHz) + 4324 Mbps (5 GHz) + 688 Mbps (2.4 GHz) BE65: 11 Gbps Tri-Band WiFi – 5760 Mbps (6 GHz) + 4320 Mbps (5 GHz) + 574 Mbps (2.4 GHz) In conclusion, it is really up to your needs which will be better for you. If you don't have super fast speeds coming in, the non-Pro version should suit you fine. If your internet speed is higher than 2.5 Gbps, you will want to get the Pro so that you can enjoy your full speed that you pay for.

Q: QuestionWhat is the maximum distance between the base and a satellite? And, can you satellite from a satellite? i.e. could you have base -> satellite -> satellite (rather than just a base powering two satellite that are both in range?

• A:Answer There isn’t an exact distance from the base station to the satellite as many factors can contribute to the connection quality, i.e. walls, stone, brick, etc. I opted for a visual line from my office desk to the satellite out in the living room (approx 22-23 feet) as it is important my main TV has a good connection. The 3rd satellite is in my master bedroom. Despite this being a small house w/standard wood frame and sheetrock, I had challenges to the master bedroom down a very short hallway from the office area. I’d end up placing the satellite on a bedside table facing the bedroom entry to avoid walls and maintain a “strong” signal. If placed near the bedroom TV in the corner, I’d only get a “medium” signal. Unable to answer satellite to satellite. The app will help you optimize connectivity.
