You can control this power strip through the Kasa app but only if your power strip is connected to the internet. If you have timers and schedules set up they will still work without being connected to the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know for sure. But I think not you have to be on the same network. If your internet service is down, you wouldn't be able to use data in your phone. I have not had my internet go down.I would call Best buy and talk to The Geek Squad.
