A:Answer To establish a Powerline network connection, the adapters must be plugged directly into wall outlets that lead to the same main circuit (panel). As long as both locations lead to the same main panel (and not a separate or sub-panel), a connection may be possible. That being said, other factors will play a role in the quality of connection such as distance, noise/load on the wiring, age/quality of wiring, etc.
