U3: UHS speed class: U3 indicates the cards speed. This card, will have the ability to record 2K and 4K video. A U3 card can record up to 30 MB/s. A2: Application performance class. There are two classes, A1 & A2. A2 is 2.5 to 4 times faster. This is the input-output, write speed of the card. V30: Video speed class I’m far from an expert, but I believe the U3 rating is the most important. I purchased cards from known manufactures that had both U3 and A2 ratings in 256GB & 512GB. I don’t think you need a pro/extreme/endurance card since the card will not be written to over and over. However, temperature might be an argument for one. FYI: Samsung EVO Select is exclusive, Amazon branding, and is identical to Samsung EVO Plus.
