“When texting after I press the star key I only get a period for a symbol. How do I get all punctuation while texting? Thanks”

upper left keypad, #1 ( with @ sign) cycles through numerous characters for grammer / texting. Using the upper "CLR" ( clear ) button erases everything you didn't want in your text message.
