In the menu, go to "about phone", then choose "network", then choose "network state" that should show the network your phone is functioning under. I purchased mine due to it's stating this is a "4G" network equiped phone. This was after hearing TracFone was ceasing support of 3g and under phones due to its "carrier" doing that. If your phone stated 4g on that package, call trac support to answer your question more fully.
