• Conflicting answers, I was just told by a TracFone Rep that texts to check your balance are FREE.

• Hi. This is Frank from TracFone Wireless. SMS charges do not apply for phones that has unlimited plan while $0.50 cents will be charged to phones that has regular plan or pay as go plan. Thank you.
