You need to call Boost Mobile. Since you don't have a sim card I would think so because it is unlocked. Hope that helps you.

Use them - and you likely don't want to bother with a broken phone - get another one. If you want to use TracFone get a phone that is 'TracFone" ready. Phone numbers are normally transferrable from one phone to the next - no problem. TracFone customer service is very good and they can help you with the number, with changing service from phone to phone (if it's lost or broken) etc. And they can send you another SIMM card to install if you need to (I did once) - but that should only be done on a phone that's been in service with them, not some old thing that hasn't been.
