You should be able to transfer your AT&T land line to this phone - I did without any problems. I called TracFone service and stated what I wanted to do and they did it for me. I bought the "airtime service" plan from them at the time of the call when I was calling to "activate" the phone. Didn't cost me anything to activate the phone and it took approx. (2) days for the phone number to be transferred - hope this helps.
