It has a primitive caller ID if you take the time and enter your contacts into the address book. When you flip the phone open you see who is calling you based on whether or not they are in your contacts, otherwise it shows as unknown. you can then accept the call or reject it. I believe you can change this setting to enable the phone to automatically answer a call when you open the phone, but then you lose the ability to see who is calling you. The outer screen is tiny and only notifies you if you are receiving a call, text or voicemail. Hope this helps!

You're charged for checking your minutes unless you set up an account on their website to check them. It's a way to get you to use up your minutes.
