You would have to transfer phone numbers and contacts manually. I do not think you can transfer messages. You CAN transfer the minutes, data, and text to your new phone, and you can transfer the phone number to your new phone. To text, you need a phone with keyboard capability. Your flip phone can send text, but is a pain to use. The Samsung J3 has a good keyboard for texting.
