When I bought my new Samsung and tranferred the old phone number to the new Samsung, all the Tracfone minutes, texts, data, and time limits were transferred to the new phone. So, yes, I think this is Tracfone's default policy regarding transferring numbers to new phones. But, I'm not sure if this applies to non-Smart phone transfers. My 2 Cents.. - JM418
