The other issue is that Chromebooks are not great options for media playback, particularly with more advanced file formats. Alternatively, you may be better off with a low grade Windows PC. You should be able to get one with 7mm SSD, that you could exchange for a larger one as needed to meet your media collection needs. The Chromebooks, at the end of the day, are really focused on cloud storage and light application usage.
