I have tried this with an OLEDC6 2016 TV. Yes, you connect the usb adaptor to the usb port on the TV then you plug in optical portion to the TVs optical outlet. Then select the appropriate channel for optical audio in the TVs settings. You will get sound through the headset. So yes, you can use it with at least certain TVs.

No bluetooth, but you can connect it to your phone with a connecting wire.

My son has used it while gaming on the TV. We enjoy that we don't have to listen to the game.

Seems like you would be able to. it works w the optic cord so as long as it has that youre good.
