Sounds like a short in the wire. It should come with a 90 day warranty. If you still have the packaging check it. If not you can look it up on the product website or just take it back to best buy and let them check lol. I definitely recommend buy the $10 warranty. I have used it numerous times for different headsets. I just go in tell them it's broke. They look it up and tell me to go grab another headset.
