“I purchased a blue and red UE speaker in 2015. I am considering to purchase another UE to pair with my existing speaker which still works great. Is the Megaboom speaker OK to pair with my existing speaker? Will the sound match? Is there another option?”

You can pair a Megaboom with other Megabooms and other smaller units. The best thing is you can use the stereo feature only with similar units so that means two Megabooms can use the stereo feature which works great. Shop Best Buy to find the best deal. Since Megabooms are older, sometimes a black one or blue one is now back up to 250 bucks. It's not worth that. But if they run a sale for 125 bucks or less, that's a great deal. There are many sites who sell refurbished units for that. From experience, I would not get a refurbished one. Good luck. At that price they will run out.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can only say that when I paired the UE Megaboom with my older Sony 30 speaker it caused an echo effect. It wouldn't sync perfectly.

I believe as long as they are bothe MEGABOOM UE they should be fine. You do however have to download the app and make sure they are both updated to their latest firmware
