While the communications protocols used on cellphones are some not capable to work on different countries do to differences on bands, frequencies, encryption procols, etc. a Wi-Fi signal is uniform and standard and universal. The only difference is that depending on regions of the world and countries the working frequencies are different, but most of Wi-Fi routers as well as the receiving devices are capable of by software change to your country and region and then it will perfectly work. Again Wi-Fi is a universal standard, only the frequencies vary by countries and regiones of the world.
