• You can get ESPN and ESPN 2 thru SLINGTV and the SLINGTV app on the roku TV. Slingtv will cost you $20 a month for 20+ streaming channels. A plus for sling tv.. no contract so pay when you want to watch the channels and cancel when you don't use or watch those channels. i recommend slingtv I use it when i need it.

• There are some sport channels for free (CBS), but ESPN still requires a cable subscription (sling TV works too).

• No you need a subscription you can try sling tv it's inexpensive compared to cable.
