you have to get your Wi-Fi service through Verizon. If you buy this from them it will have a Sim card in it. Be prepared to pay $30 to get it activated though regardless if you get it in store or online. I have an unlimited plan and pay 20 bucks for 15 gig each month and it handles all the phones and tablets in the house.
