no, it's Verizon PREPAID. You pay each month in advance. It is a promotion so I am not sure when it will end. If you go on Verizon auto-pay, they will deduct $5 a month. I am paying about $35 a month because I enrolled in autopay, and have unlimited calls and text messages, and 6 KB of data. The Best Buy rep set the whole thing up for me as a courtesy. NOT UNLOCKED!.
