A:AnswerYes, this phone is new. Its functionality is great. However, this model has a few inconviniences: any drop of water on the screen is taken as an input. The speaker is on rear of the phone so it's not very clear. Photos are not very clear neither. The screen will fracture at the slightest pressure. Withholding the above all other functionality is excellant.
A:AnswerVerizon just updated its software & security for the Samsung Galaxy A01 back in October. It usually takes less than 10 minutes and you would need to enable Wi-Fi to get such updates. Hope that helps.
