• A:Answer This product can be used for any content. As long as your audio player is working and has outputs that will connect to the audio capture device, it should work. We have customers who have used it for family recordings, sermons, speeches, and many other personal recording types.

• A:Answer All directions for the VIDBOX Audio Recorder are for recording an outside source not for a source coming from your computer. Onde an outside source is recorded you can edit what you recorded.

Q: QuestionHow can u convert a cd to a usb drive ? I just purchased a vehicle w/o a CD player. Does Best Buy have an add on by usb connect ? 2019 Nissan Frontier

• A:Answer Normally, you would use this product to record audio from an analog source, such as a cassette tape or an LP. However, you can treat a CD the same way. You can connect the output of a CD player to the inputs on the USB capture device, and record audio in real-time to WAV or MP3 files. Then those files can be added to a flash drive. A more expedient method is if you can use a CD ripping software with the CD drive of your computer instead, but we do not make any products that do that. We do not have any specific recommendations for other products sold by Best Buy that may allow for your USB connection.

Q: QuestionWill this work with home recordings of bands I used to be in? One of the bands I have a recorded on cassette is my 1st band's practice when I was a kid in 1981. I want to convert it to MP3 (+ other bands I was in). Will this work for home recordings?

• A:Answer Yes, this will work for home audio cassettes. As long as you have a working audio cassette player and standard consumer audio outputs on it (e.g. RCA phono or 3.5mm jack), the included cables and capture device will allow you to digitize it to a compatible computer. If your player would have specialized connections, you may need to acquire separate adapters to be able to connect to the RCA phone jacks on the provided capture device.

• A:Answer Please start by installing the software for the program and unlocking it. Then, connect from the audio outputs of your audio player to the inputs on the USB capture device. This product comes with RCA phono stereo connections and 3.5mm audio connections, so it will fit many common audio outputs on the player. However, if you use a different audio output on the player, you may need to use additional adapters. In the Easy Mode, you can follow step-by-step instructions to make a recording. Once comfortable, you can use the Advanced Mode to record with less instruction and a few more options.

Q: QuestionWill you he digital copy be in true stereo like one instrument per channel if I originally recorded it that way?

• A:Answer The digital file will be in stereo if the audio connection is stereo and the app is set to capture in stereo. The capture equipment has separate L and R RCA audio channels for stereo capture. If the player does not output in stereo or if the capture format selected is mono, then you would not maintain distinct L and R channels.

• A:Answer You would need to use a different tool to slow down the music. Many media players support different speed playback without editing the audio file. Some audio editing apps support speeding up or slowing down the track and allow it to be saved out at that adjusted speed.

• A:Answer The video-focused product, VIDBOX Video Conversion for Mac, does work for Apple M1 MacBooks and includes an audio recording mode to create MP3 files. This is a more basic solution for performing capture to MP3 that does not include any editing functions or effects. The included VIDBOX capture device accepts accepts RCA stereo inputs. Depending on the audio source, you may need to purchase audio adapters separately, such as a 3.5mm-to-RCA stereo audio cable.

• A:Answer This is incorrect. VIDBOX does not currently make any products that allow you to either play video cassettes or to bridge a tape player to a television. The VIDBOX Audio Recorder product specifically handles audio only, such as recording from a separate turntable or audio cassette player. VIDBOX products work by connecting the output from your own working tape player to the VIDBOX capture equipment to play/record into a computer. Once recorded to a file or DVD, you would have to separately bring your file or DVD to your television for playback with an appropriate player.
