• VM is trying to push the Apple phones, but strong presence of Android phones. This is Android 7.0, latest (not available most phones yet) is Android 8.0.

• Yes, this phone has the Android system. I believe that Virgin will sell and support an Android phone for existing customers, but markets only iPhones to new customers.
