Your xfinity remote can be programed to operate several different types of TV's when I bought my TV I had to call xfinity and ask how to find a code and they helped me with a procedure to input the needed code. I had lost the original paperwork that stated all the codes for each TV. Just call and get help it takes a while but is free. Also there is a watch free TV streaming program on this TV so you don't need to pay xfinity for cable TV anymore as I have done for years and now don't pay anymore, also if not streaming TV the amplified HD antenna I hooked up to the TV for free local TV actually found 134 free HD channels. With 250 free streaming channels and HD antenna free 134 local channels, you will have anything you want to watch and you can drop PAY CABLE TV ! This TV works great, has a clear colorful picture and sounds fine for talking, if you want to watch music videos you will want a sound bar, like any other TV.
