QuestionThe Best Buy description says it has Optical Digital audio out, but I cannot find it in the pictures. Can you please confirm?

QuestionMy parents want a TV like this just to watch local channels. I will buy a separate antenna. Once it is set up, when you turn it on via remote, will it start in Tv mode or do you have to navigate through a menu to get to over the air TV?

- Answer If the TV is connected to a network, by default the TV will power on to the VIZIO SmartCast input. However within the TV menu you can change this setting to have the TV boot to the input of your choosing, in this case, the antenna. The TV will then power back on to the antenna after being powered off. If the TV is not connected to a network you will not have to choose, and the TV will remain on the antenna input after power off.

- Answer For whatever reason, this seems to happen on all my TVs, not just this one. I think it is the cable service, thought they deny it.

QuestionDoes the remote have number keys? Such as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0. I use the digital turner in my TVs and to switch from Channel 11 to 167 and back makes the tuner worthless when they dont have the numbers.

QuestionCan I connect a device to amplify the sound?

- Answer I just answered this in another question, YES. This TV has an analog audio output 3.5mm stereo jack for headphones that can be hooked up to any amp and can be controlled by the remote for the volume. When you plug in the 3.5mm jack it shuts off the TV speakers, so you can jack up the sound without harming the small TV speakers. I did remind them before that the brand new 2023 model has bluetooth out for sound but has no numbers on remote for direct access tv channels, This TV has a great picture at 1080p HD. Also if you don't know this TV has watch free streaming of 250 free streaming channels if you have WIFI, Enjoy !

- Answer This TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device. Currently, the DirecTV app is not a part of SmartCast.

QuestionCan you turn this tv on and change channels with a Xfinity remote and not use the VIZIO remote?

- Answer Your xfinity remote can be programed to operate several different types of TV's when I bought my TV I had to call xfinity and ask how to find a code and they helped me with a procedure to input the needed code. I had lost the original paperwork that stated all the codes for each TV. Just call and get help it takes a while but is free. Also there is a watch free TV streaming program on this TV so you don't need to pay xfinity for cable TV anymore as I have done for years and now don't pay anymore, also if not streaming TV the amplified HD antenna I hooked up to the TV for free local TV actually found 134 free HD channels. With 250 free streaming channels and HD antenna free 134 local channels, you will have anything you want to watch and you can drop PAY CABLE TV ! This TV works great, has a clear colorful picture and sounds fine for talking, if you want to watch music videos you will want a sound bar, like any other TV.
