“Is the USB port a "powered" USB port so that I can power my remote extender from the TV through a wall and into a nearby closet?”

• Great question! My Samsung note phone does not like the USB to video feature, I have to go to the Verizon store for information on the software of the phone. I have not tried any other USB input to the TV to know if it powers too.

• It is powered but I don't know how much power that unit requires. Should work.

• In my experience using the usb to charge my phone, it is powered while on.
