“What are the clearage specifications for mounting over a fireplace My gas fireplace installer told me to make sure I have the correct clearance if installing the TV over the fireplace. Electronics are heat sensitive.”

I have always read it was a very bad idea to mount over a fireplace or even have too close to a wall due to the vents on the backside but I see lots of ppl doing it but its not something I recommend.

Unfortunately we are not able to recommend a distance above your fireplace that the TV should be mounted, simply due to the fact that we do not recommend that this is done as there are many contributing factors that could lead to possible damage to the TV and or your wall or anything surrounding the TV.
