This TV will work fine for Local Channels....honestly I bought this TV to replace a previous Roku TV in the same location and using the same antenna...and it seems to have even better reception to pick up local channels Local Channels: in order to get local channels they are broadcasted by your local stations.... It is a digital signal so it will come in mostly HD ...the thing to realize is the signal is still a radio signal as such u can use basic rabbit ears connected to the coaxial connection on the back , if the station is within about 15miles or less you won't need a powered antenna that plugs into the wall ....but if you are further or want a greater variety of channels get a powered antenna as you can adjust the power to have different stations available
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This TV is able to accept a connection from an antenna using the threaded coax port on the back of the TV labeled "ANTENNA". There are so many great antennas out there that it's not possible to recommend just one.
