- Answer Mode M512a-H6 Rather than measuring in wattage which is just a measurement of power draw, we measure Soundbars in sound pressure level, or dB. This Soundbar goes as loud as 103 dB with a frequency response of 45Hz- 20kHz.

QuestionDoes this include an HDMI 2.1 cable? Also does the HDMI video passthrough support HDR10?

- Answer Can only address the first part of your question, the the HDMI cable provided is not 2.1 . The unit was released in 2020, only recently the HDMI 2.1 evolved. Baught two 2.1 cables (Bestbuy brand), on sale at 6 ft., each on ssle. Sorr I couldn't address the secon part of your question. I can state the system, is fantastic, and you will not be disappointed.

QuestionWithin 3 hours of setting up this system, I am not hearing ANY sound from the 2 surround rear speakers. The Sound Bar and Subwoofer are working fine, but all the sudden zero sound from the 2 rear smaller speakers. They are plugged into the subwoofer.

- Answer It is possible that you turned the surround setting off under the Effect menu on your remote. If this is not the case, reset the sound settings through your remote; If the speakers start to work, then it was an accidental setting adjustment. If not, then you will want to investigate hardware issues.

QuestionI am moving to Japan and would like purchase this soundbar. Will I need a converter since Japan is 100v?

- Answer The power cord included with the TV, in the box when purchased, is the same cord that the factory will use to test the TV and provide quality assurance. VIZIO recommends to only use the power cord included in the box when purchased.

QuestionCan you purchase the rear speakers for this soundbar anywhere? Maybe through vizio? My left rear sounds a little weak and cracks every once in a while. Also how do a do a firmware update. Any specific usb i need. Can i upload from my phone with USB??

QuestionSince there is only one eArc input, can I plug multiple devices into the soundbar using an HDMI switching device?

- Answer With the sound bar attached to the TV using the eARC connection, any audio to the TV from an external device will play through the sound bar. Each individual device does not need to be connected to the sound bar.

QuestionI plugged an HDMI cable from my bluray player to the soundbar and use HDMI IN. But whenever I pause the bluray player, the sound drops and I have to press "HDMI IN" again on the input button for the audio to come back. How can I stop this?

- Answer I'm having a similar problem - I have connected a Chromecast with Google TV to the HDMI In and most of the time when I switch apps (i.e. Close Disney+, open Netflix) the audio disappears. I found that the soundbar was auto-switching from "HDMI In" to "HDMI ARC" when I opened the next app. Whenever the sound drops, hit Setup on the remote, then click down to "Info" and hit "OK." The soundbar will then announce what input it is on and what audio quality is coming through. This is how I discovered that it always changed to HDMI-ARC. I even disabled ARC on my TV and this is still occurring. Somehow I need to find a way for the soundbar to stop auto-switching to a different input, but haven't found this, yet.

QuestionI have the Subwoofer turned up pretty high and you can hardly hear the bass. It is working but it is really hard to hear. My last Visio soundbar with wireless subwoofer was a lot louder. I actually had to turn it down with some movies. Any ideas!!

- Answer That doesn't answer to question he asked about 2.1 hdmi... A lot of these answers don't really address the question asked. I get there feeling from the vague description in specs concerning hdmi that it doesn't support 2.1 but Vizio doesn't want to sa that.

- Answer You will not get the full effect, maybe a little more fullness but that’s about it. The height channels have to bounce the sound off the ceiling to work properly so being inside a shelf will stop that.

Questionare the frequency responses listed as 20 MHZ to 45Khz correct? Are all of the speakers including the satellites able to reach the 45khz or is this just limited to the center sound bar speakers? What ohms are the satellites?

- Answer Rather than measuring in wattage which is just a measurement of power draw, we measure sound bars in sound pressure level, or dB. This sound bar goes as loud as 103dB with a frequency response of 45Hz - 20kHz.

QuestionSince the jacks used by the cables from surround speakers to subwoofer seem to be standard RCA, can one extend or substitute for the supplied cables with standard RCA audio cables?

- Answer Yes, the jacks are standard RCA, the manufactured speaker wire lengths are already the maximum length for the power output of the built in amp wattage from the factory. IOW, extending the wire length will probably shorten the life of either the speaker or the factory amplifier, or both. The cable lengths are not meant for extending across large rooms, only to extend across the length of one end of a wall, not for extending across an entire room. And they are an excellent power balance, and produce realistic DOLBY ATMOS digital sound as already configured. I don't recommend it.

- Answer The rear speakers that come with the system connect directly to the subwoofer. They likely won't work connected directly to your receiver.
