• When a Tv manufacturer says "effective" it means its using some sort of post processing to double/triple ect.. what is shown on screen. This is not a true real refresh rate. This Vizio 55" TV does 60hz True refresh rate and 120hz true refresh rate in 1080p. The 24p of a Blu-ray is well below these thresholds. Pretty much any television made with an HDMI 1.4 port or better will play anything in the world just may not be 4K 60hz capable as this requires HDMI 2.0. This 55" TV has said HDMI 2.0 ports that do both 4K30 and 4K60 for future uses with 4k content.
