• We have a Vizio soundbar & speakers so that is what we use, but you don't necessarily have to have it. We just like the sound amplified.

• I personally put my Polk sound bar on my TV in the living room when I bought this TV. The quality was on par with my sound bar so I didn't see the need to keep it in my bedroom. Still love the sound from it.

• I like the 3.0 sound bar. The TV speakers are OK but I would go with the sound bar.

• Yes u need a sound bar .sound is bad ... Almost have to have it all the way turned to hear clearly

• This TV has the worst sound system ever from any tv i have owned. The sound comes out of the back and is muffled. Sound bar is a MUST
