You can download the The vizio smartcast app on your smart phone that is what we use, we have it on our tablets and phones to control the tv

If your input is set to that one (When you switch inputs I think it's the one labeled like Google Cast or SmartCast or something like that among the list of HDMI 1, 2, COMP, etc.) you should have a bunch of options streaming on your screen. On the bottom you can find apps like Netfilx, Vudu, Crackle and Hulu. The remote they provide you with is a little odd, cause it doesn't really have the up, down, left, right and select options in the center like most, but you can also use the SmartCast app and there's a 'remote' option for the device you're connected to where you can swipe for the direction to scroll, tap to select, and pull up a keyboard for logging into things. (Personally, I also have a PS4 and use a Playstation Universal Remote that has regular up, down, left, right, and select options, and I assume any new universal remote you connect to your TV should be able to do the trick, too.) I know that's kind of an odd way of making it work, but I think it's just because the only legitimate operating system this model of Smart TV has is ChromeCast, which is usually best for casting an app playing from your phone or tablet to the TV, like Spotify, Netflix or Youtube. Other than that, this TV would stream and play something like Netflix best if you have it hooked up from another device like a Roku, Blu-ray player, game console, or something else like that with built-in apps. The Smart TVs on the market that have more complete operating systems (like a computer or game console) built into them are A LOT more expensive, and I think that plays a huge role in it, too. I hope you get your setup with your TV going how you want to! I personally love this TV so much.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Nate, the tv does not have any apps. Everything is controlled by the tablet or better yet, your phone. The tablet is easier to navigate to select something to watch. Give it a chance and you’ll never look back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have released an update that adds applications on the TV directly while still being able to cast. As long as your display is connected to your internet you should receive the update automatically. If you would like assistance please contact our customer support team at 877-878-4946.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to have WIFI or bluetooth so you can download the app. Go to the place you get your apps and download or search for VIZIO SMART CAST. Open the app and be in front of your TV with the TV on and in the smart cast app on the TV. The instructions should walk you through the setup.
